Vera
Van Baaren Vera
was born in the Netherlands. After finishing high school in 1956
she attended a 4-year course at the A.K.I. ("Academy for Arts
and Industry"), specializing in design of fabric patterns.
In
1960, Vera won the first and third prize among several thousand
entries at an international competition for the design of wallpaper
in Paris, France, and got married. Moved to Canada in 1972. During
the late 1990's, she started painting again, mainly in watercolour
and acrylic.
